Get to know Ebenezer
I’m Ebenezer Tubbs. I am an Aerospace Engineer and I specialize in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. I am a critical thinker, a creative designer, and a team player. These values have moved me towards leadership and management because I saw that the most efficient and effective way to translate those values into results is through team leadership. An effective team communicates, encourages each other, builds consensus, and above all must get results. The best engineering teams bring together a diverse group of talent and skills that coalesce into something greater than the sum of its parts.
In my work life, I have concentrated on Electromechanical engineering, but I think that an exceptional engineer must also be knowledgeable and experienced in technologies outside his or her field of study. Even though my main interest is mechanical systems I have not shied away from other fields such as computer software coding (I've created coding software that uses a microcontroller to interactively play iPhone games) and electrical development (I've built custom light rigs that operate through switches and solid-state relays for local bands' light shows). Curiosity, creativity, and innovation are things that plague me. If that interests you, you've come to the right place!
Professional EXPERIENCE
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a world-class testing lab
• Manage project estimations, budgets and resources for both internal teams and contractors
• Establish KPI that ensure the test lab runs efficiently and performance can be accurately measured
• Supervise a team of test technicians developing skills and competencies to perform a wide range of durability and functional tests
• Work cross-functionally with other departments and prioritize work queues
• Design develop and test system solutions for technology and business improvements
• Product development, design and analysis Aided design team in DFM and DFA from design concept to manufacturing release
• Perform product validation and verification using off-the-shelf testing equipment as well as custom built machinery.
• Build and maintain custom test rigs/fixtures to interact with various consumer product hardware
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and where necessary new safety processes are implemented
